From September 2025, you’ll be able to receive your cervical screening results more quickly and conveniently.

If your result is negative (normal), it will be sent directly to you via the NHS App, with a notification on your phone or tablet.

If you don’t open the message within 72 hours, a letter will still be posted to you as a backup. Any abnormal results will continue to be sent by post, just as they are now.
